Dedicated to Disneyland Paris Podcast

With both Steve and Mark being in Disneyland Paris last week, neither had time to chase down any news and rumours for this episode, though there is the exquisitely worded Disneyland Paris Halloween 2016 press release which got discussed. The meat of the shows features an interview with Star Wars writer and Disney fan Amy Ratcliffe, who after hosting at Star Wars Celebration Europe took a day trip to Disneyland Paris. Hear the thoughts of someone whose home park is the original Disneyland, and what Amy made of Ratatouille, Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom Manor and how she was duped onto Crush’s Coaster. One thing was missed during our chat, and I’m directly quoting Amy for all of you to read here: I realized I forgot to say how much I loved the DLP version of a dole whip :) That being Pineapple Whip, the subject of much contention these past few months.

The feature of the show is a bumper listener feedback session as we posed the question - what one thing would stop you returning to Disneyland Paris any time soon? The variety of answers was huge, and chips!

Episode 80 - Was Walt Disney Studios A Mistake

In a rare move it was Mark that chose the question of the week for this episode and what a cracker it is too, invoking some great discussion about opinions from all of you. We learned a lot about Walt Disney Studios and what it means to guests of Disneyland Paris new and old. Before that there's a barrel of Disneyland Paris news and rumours to discuss, from the Peter Pan refurbishments to feedback from Mickey and the Magician, and a rumour that mark Mark brings to the episode at the last minute. We also introduce a new part of the podcast: Mailbag (or was it Mailbox?) A stacked episode as ever, so enjoy!

Tuesday morning, April 12th 2016, was not just the 24th birthday of Disneyland Paris, but the morning we got news that rocked the Disneyland Paris community. Less than 2 years into his tenure as CEA, Tom Wolber would be leaving, and in his place we would welcome Catherine Powell. We discus how Tom did, what Catherine brings to the table, and what this could mean for Disneyland Paris, with input from our lovely listeners too.
